Alanna Books is a small independent publisher – Alanna is the Irish word for ‘child’ and is also used as an endearment – much as you would say ‘sweetheart’ or ‘baby’.

We chose the name because we wanted to be clear that we had the needs of children at the centre of our publishing – the needs of all children.

We aim to produce and select quality books that celebrate children, their individuality and achievements.
