My Friend Jamal - Giving Something Back
Both Tony Parker and Luol Deng earn millions of dollars as NBA players. However, neither of the young men want to spend all their money on flash cars and huge homes. Tony Parker helps underprivileged young people by donating blocks of tickets for every home game he plays. He is also the first ambassador of “Make a wish France” a foundation that helps children with life threatening medical conditions.
Luol Deng also helps the people in Sudan. He has gone back to Sudan to visit the towns torn apart by violence. He is part of the UN’s Nine Million Refugee charity (see links below) and donates $50 to the charity every time he scores a basket. Ten pence from the sale of evey copy of My friend Jamal will be given to his foundation.
