My Friend Jamal - Somalia

Somalia (officially the Somali Republic, formerly the Somali Democratic Republic) is situated in the Horn of Africa.

It is a very rugged country and there is very little arable land - it is estimated to be less than 2%. Yet still there are lots of people who depend upon on vegetation in order to feed their livestock. Therefore lots of the farmers live almost nomadic lifestyles where they must travel with their animals (camels, goats) in order to find food for them.
